This means every operator must be properly trained and certified before using access platforms such as scissor lifts, boom lifts or spider platforms.
You have two core legal responsibilities:
- Work at Height Regulations 2005 – Operators must be deemed competent to work at height.
- Council Directive 2009/104/EC Article 9 – Requires adequate training for all users of work equipment, including instruction on risks and safety procedures.
